Lights

Before a snowmobile may be operated in Pennsylvania, the vehicle and its rider must have the required equipment.

If operated between one-half hour after sunset and one-half hour before sunrise or when visibility is limited to less than 500 feet, the snowmobile must be equipped with:

• One or more white headlights capable of lighting persons, vehicles, or objects at a distance of 100 feet and…
• A red taillight that is visible during darkness from a distance of 500 feet.
