Other Facts About Registration

The owner of a registered snowmobile must notify the IDNR within 15 days if:

• The snowmobile is destroyed or abandoned or...
• The snowmobile is sold, or an interest in the vehicle is transferred wholly or in part to another person(s).

The owner of a snowmobile must notify the IDNR if his or address changes.

If a Certificate of Registration is lost, destroyed, or illegible, the owner of the snowmobile may purchase a duplicate from the IDNR for a fee.
