Obeying Law Enforcement Officers

Snowmobile regulations are enforced by agents of the IDNR or other duly authorized police officers. They may stop and inspect a snowmobile in order to check for compliance with the law.

An operator who receives a signal from a law enforcement officer must stop his or her snowmobile immediately.
