Checking Before You Go

- Download the CAC mobile app for Apple Devices or Android Devices.
- Call 1-800-667-1105.
- Study the weather forecast. Weather conditions, such as temperature and wind, directly affect the slopes. Snow stability can change rapidly and could trigger an avalanche. Taking an avalanche skills training course can help you understand the effect of weather on the snowpack.
